Chi sei?
Sono Lexi Ryan, autrice di romance sexy contemporanei. Ho due figli e sono sposata con un uomo meraviglioso che mi tiene con i piedi per terra.

C’è un tuo personaggio con cui hai un legame maggiore?
Direi che c’è una parte di me in ognuno dei miei personaggi. Ho avuto problemi di peso e depressione e ansia per tutta la vita, quindi non è così strano per me far avere gli stessi problemi ai miei personaggi. D’altro canto, anche se i miei personaggi iniziano con un qualcosa che parla di me, diventano loro stessi mentre scrivo il libro.

Cosa pensi che dicano di te i tuoi romanzi?
Mi appassionano l’amore, la famiglia e la profonda amicizia. Scrivo storie che parlano di personaggi imperfetti che trovano l’amore senza avvertire il bisogno di divendare perfetti. Tutti meritiamo l’amore.

Quali sono i tuoi progetti per il futuro?
Al momento sto lavorando a due serie. Una è la serie romance della mia piccola città, Orchid Valley, incentrata su un gruppo di amici. L’altra è una nuova avventura per me: una dilogia fantasy YA. Il primo libro, “These Hollow Vows”, parla di una ragazza che fa un patto con un pericoloso re delle fate, per poter salvare sua sorella e verrà pubblicato a giungo 2021.

Sai quando verrà pubblicata la tua prossima traduzione italiana?
La prossima pubblicazione italiana dovrebbe essere “If it’s only love”, la storia di Shay e il libro finale di Jackson Harbor. Non so ancora le date, però, ma so che sarà a breve! Il secondo titolo è un romance sulle seconde possibilità che ho adorato!

Ti piacerebbe scrivere altri generi letterari?
Amo profondamente i romance e li scriverò finché riuscirò. Detto questo, mi piacciono i romance in ogni loro forma, e mi piace la sfida data dal nuovo genere fantasy YA. Ma non vi preoccupare! È sempre un romance!

Who are you?
I’m Lexi Ryan, author of sexy contemporary romance. I’m the mother of two and married to an awesome guy who really keeps me grounded.

Is there any character of yours you are connected to the most?
I would say there’s a piece of me in every one of my characters. I’ve struggled with my weight and with depression and anxiety issues my whole life, so it’s not uncommon for me to give those struggles to my characters as well. However, even when characters start with a kernel of “me”, they always become their own person as I write the book.

What do you think your novels say about you?
I’m passionate about love, family, and deep friendships. I write stories about imperfect characters and who find love without feeling like they need to become perfect. We’re all worthy of love.

What are your projects for the future?
I’m currently working on two series. One is my new small town romance series, Orchid Valley, centered around a group of friends. The other is a new venture for me–a YA fantasy duology. The first book, THESE HOLLOW VOWS is about a girl who makes a deal with a dangerous faerie king in order to save her sister and it releases in July of 2021.

Do you know when your next Italian release is going to be?
The next release in Italian should be IF IT’S ONLY LOVE, Shay’s story and the final Jackson Harbor book. I’m not sure about dates yet, but I know it’s coming! This one is a second chance romance that I absolutely adored!

Would you like to write about any other genre?
I absolutely love romance and will write it as long as I’m able to. However, I enjoy romance in many forms, and I’m loving the challenge of the new genre of YA fantasy. But don’t worry! It still has romance!
